We are in the East Sussex group of support options.

The National Weight Management programmes are all available in our area.  The Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission programme has certain eligibility criteria as it is not suitable for everyone with diabetes. Please ring in if you would like to check if you are eligible.

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) for weight loss support

There is a lot of interest about Mounjaro being prescribed on the NHS.  The NHS has strict criteria for who this should be offered to and are in the process of setting up this service.  The service is not yet finalised.  When it is running, the people who are eligible will be contacted directly.  Please do not ring the surgery regarding this; we will contact you if you are eligible.  Please make sure your contact details are up to date.

Mounjaro and Contraception

If you are taking Mounjaro (whether bought privately or given on NHS) and an oral contraceptive pill, please be aware that you should use additional barrier contraception for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after any dose increase.  You may prefer to change your contraception to a different form.  If so, please book an appointment with us to discuss.

Mounjaro and HRT

If you are taking Mounjaro and take oral progesterone as part of HRT (Utrogestan, Gepretix, Progesterone micronized capsules), you are advised to double the Progesterone dose for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after any dose increase. Please discuss this with the surgery as your tablet amount will need to be altered.
