HavensHealth Practice Charter

All staff at HavensHealth strive to provide the highest quality and efficient medical services, please see below the following standards agreed by our partners and staff to make sure it is achieved.

 

Patient’s rights and responsibilities

All patients are required to behave courteously towards staff, violent and abusive behaviour will result in removal from the practice.

If you have booked and appointment and need to cancel please let us know as soon as possible. Appointments can be cancelled by calling the surgery on 01273 588200 or through our online services page. If you haven’t yet registered to use online services please go to the online page.

Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss any problems with the doctor or practice manager if you are not happy. If you want to make a complaint, or give us some feedback, please write to the practice manager. We will arrange a meeting with you or refer to NHS England if appropriate.

 

Confidentiality

HavensHealth is registered under the Data Protection Act and have a legal duty to keep information about you confidential. You have a right to complete confidentiality, nothing can ever be revealed by any staff at the practice. This includes parents and spouses, unless you have given explicit consent to do so. Everyone working for the NHS has a legal duty to keep information private.

Information is recorded about you and your health to make sure you receive efficient treatment, and because it may also be needed if we see you again.

NHS England have introduced the Summary Care Record, this is used for emergency care. Any information on your current medications, allergies you suffer from, reactions to medicine you have had will be recorded to ensure those caring for you have the information to treat you safely.

Your Summary Care Record will be available to authorised healthcare staff providing your care anywhere in England, but they will ask your permission before they look at it. This means that if you have an accident or become ill, healthcare staff treating you will have immediate access to important information about your health. You may opt out of the Summary Care Record, please enquire at reception for any forms and information.

 

Violent patients

Any violent or threatening behaviour from patients will not be tolerated. Violent patients will be reported to the police and taken off of the practice list. Staff have the right to care for others without receiving any abuse or violent behaviour from patients.
